Central Florida, look out! Today we’re introducing you to one of our incredible local food trucks in our Orlando Food Truck Catering family, The Poutine Truck!
Owners Shaun Lacroix, and his wife Sherron Coletti, after braving all the snowy winters in the great white north, they always dreamed about owning a food truck somewhere down south. Sherron on sharing their dream, “the dream was mostly for our retirement years, but it’s a good thing we didn’t wait, it’s a lot of work!”
After some family transitions, Shaun and Sherron decided to bring their plans forward by a few decades. With their family by their sides, they embarked on a journey to Florida! After getting set up, they decided to make it a family affair! Shaun handles all mechanical and equipment as well as manning the kitchen as a fantastic chef. Even Sherron’s Mom helping with prep and bookkeeping!
Central Florida has so many incredible food trucks, but none of them do specifically poutine (pronounced poo-teen) until Sherron and Shaun arrived! Poutine is a Canadian delicacy that is fresh French Fries, curd cheese and topped with brown gravy. Disco fries from New England are very similar if you’re familiar! Everything is made fresh daily. The gravy, French fries, and even the cheese is shipped in weekly and has a small shelf life to make sure that plate is a wonderful little gift that every guest gets to enjoy. They are always staying on top of the game with new and innovative ideas for poutine and will have a rotating poutine weekly.
